According to the regulations of the Division I: Humanities and Social Sciences of the PAS,  Scientific Awards of the Committee on Demographic Studies are offered to scientists every 3 years. 

In each round there is a two step competition: firstly there is an open call for candidates, then the Presidium creates a short list of the best candidates. Finally, the Committee desides on the Award.

dr Beata Osiewalska from the Univeristy of Warsaw  for the book: Socio-economic status and childlessness of couples.

 

SCIENTIFIC AWARDS OF 2018:

Prof. Elżbieta Gołata from Poznań University of Economic and Business for the book: The end of the traditional census era. 

 

SCIENTIFIC AWARDS OF 2015

dr Marcin Stonawski from the Cracow University of Economics for the book: Human capital in population ageing and economic growth.
